Well it's been a while since I've updated this blog and lots of exciting stuff has been going on as well as parting ways with Curtis, Craig and Kris. We've all had many changes in our lives and this version of the live band just ran its course. We're all bros, but decided to go our own ways and we're all stoked.
(the cheese stands alone)
That being said, I've found a ripping bass player Bobby Wilcox who just moved here from Ventura and we're already recording tracks for a new EP (maybe even a full length) called "Wah-BAM!" I'm handling guitar/drums/vocal duties and he's laying down the bass lines. Fun fact: Bobby was D.D. Ramone's guitar player on one of his last tours before he passed. Neat! We've posted some cassette 4 track demos of the new songs on our
soundcloud page.
(welcome aboard Bobby)
We'll get a drummer later because... I JUST HAD ANOTHER KID! Yup! See! Major changes! Jonny Danger Manak was born 8 pounds 10 ounces Friday May 11th 2012 so this transition of band members couldn't have been timed better. I'm taking time to be with my beautiful wife Mandy, my little princess Zoey and little JD.

I ghost wrote and recorded a 5 song EP for dickhouse productions over a 2 week period with John Blatchford behind the mixing board at Felony College of the Streets in San Jose and used some of the cash to complete my recording studio. Yeah, I got a fully functional protools recording studio now called CUP O' PIZZA so I can be a more efficient ghost writer, recording artist and family man. CUP O' PIZZA has a live room, mixing room and two iso booths! WOOHOO!!!

I went into the COMPOUND Studios and remixed our latest full length "I am not a bum... I'm a JERK!" for vinyl removing the organ tracks because it took away from the rawness of the songs and overpowered the entire mix. Jimmy Arceneaux revamped the album art and Mike Wells did some analog mastering techniques to fatten it up. I'll be rereleasing it digitally and on black 12 inch vinyl once the band starts playing out again. Most likely this fall.

That's basically what's been going on the last 6 months. Life has never been so busy, scary, uncertain and fun. I love playing music, I love my family and I love writing music for TV/Film. Life gets better every day! Wah-BAM!
